Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer Asc in Aurora, Colorado
This requisition is for Systems Engineers that may perform a variety of roles across several contracts. This position will include 24X7 rotating shift console operations and Data Analysis. During the initial training period the successful candidate will learn 24/7 operations. In this 24/7 role the candidate will become certified in entry level and advanced positions. Once certified in an advanced position the individual will join 24/7 crew and be responsible for ensuring the execution of planned activities and taking corrective actions in response to anomalies and system degradations or failures. Perform analysis of segment and interfaces to ensure system is operating nominally. Interfaces with internal and cross-site personnel to conduct mission operations. Acquires, applies and disseminates technical skills and job knowledge to accomplish assigned tasks. Position requires completion of formal training program and certification to perform duties.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
TS/SCI Clearance is required prior to starting employment.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education
Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance and be subject to a polygraph
This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen
Desired skills - 24/7 work experience - SIGINT or GEOINT experience - Experience with orbital mechanics including classical orbital (Keplerian) elements - Strong math background and STK experience are a plus - Familiarity with basic programming languages: MATLAB, PERL, C/C++, SQL, HTML, and UNIX/LINUX - Problem solving, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work across sites in a multi-contractor team - Understanding of RADAR systems and concepts - Understanding of Cartography - Willingness to work rotating shifts
