Lockheed Martin Administrative Assistant Specialist in Bethesda, Maryland

Assistant will support the Vice President of Visual Communications and serve as back up to other administrative assistants in the Communications organization. Responsibilities will include:

Serving as a point of contact between executives and internal/external clients

Maintaining VP's calendar

Making travel arrangements for Communications VPs and directors

Preparing expense reports and reconciling expenses

Preparing correspondence for executive meetings

Serving as Webmaster Administrator

Preparing and tracking check requests

Monitor office supplies and research advantageous deals or suppliers

Monitoring and reconciling department budget

Serving as AER Administrator

Arranging Conference Rooms for VP and other department meetings

Monitoring and tracking department budget

Basic Qualifications Prior experience as an executive administrative assistant

Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and quickly adjust to changing priorities

Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriate sensitivity to all issues

Outstanding interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of internal and external customers as well as corporate executives

High level verbal and written communications skills

Experience in travel booking and expense reconciliation.

Effective organizational and prioritization skills

Ability to work a flexible schedule on occasion in order to support Communications activities

Desired skills Must be a self-starter with strong initiative, exemplary planning and time management skills

Demonstrated ability to work well independently, but function within a team environment

Working knowledge of Lockheed Martin policies and procedures.

Exemplary planning and time management skills

Experience with LM systems to include STARS, LMTravel-ERS and Concur, LMTravelSource (reservations)

Experience with using P-cards. Experience supporting a matrixed organization.

Knowledge of SharePoint administration

Advanced training or certifications in relevant fields
