Lockheed Martin F-16 Aircraft Fuels and Hydrazine Shift Supervisor in Bethesda, Maryland
This position is in Balad Iraq.
In addition to the responsibilities listed below, the Aircraft Fuels and Hydrazine Shift Supervisor will be the shift point of contact for all maintenance activities related to aircraft fuels and hydrazine systems. The shift supervisor will prioritize and assign maintenance activities for fuel shop technicians in order to provide the customer with safe and mission effective aircraft. The shift supervisor will also section leave schedules, internal training, and the training of our IqAF customer.
F-16 Fuels/Hydrazine technician; provide advice, assistance, and OJT on inspection, troubleshooting, repair & maintenance of the fuel and hydrazine systems and associated components of F-16 aircraft. Will provide training, advice, installation, troubleshooting, repair & maintenance of the fuel and hydrazine systems and associated components at the organizational, intermediate and extended intermediate levels of maintenance.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS/INFO: Candidate must be a high school graduate or have completed an equivalent program. Candidate must have held a USAF skill level 7 (or equivalent) in their career field. Candidate must have at least 4 years’ experience with F-16 aircraft maintenance activities. Progressive and documented experience in the fighter aircraft maintenance environment. Documented qualifications in related maintenance fields. Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills. Must read, write and speak English fluently. Must have or be able to rapidly secure a DOD secret clearance. Regularly required to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive movements, and perform work from ground level to overhead. This position requires frequent standing for long periods, walking, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and twisting. Assignment location is in Iraq.
Include but not limited to light to medium construction activities such as assembling warehouse shelving and furniture in all areas of the maintenance complex. Candidates must be willing and able to participate in all set-up activities, assist with receiving and storing supplies and support equipment. The site will still be under construction at the time of the first arrivals. Environmental/weather conditions can be extreme during different seasons. Site is a secure compound which team members will be confined to. Flexibility, a positive attitude and excellent people skills are a must.

- Must have an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting.
Basic Qualifications Fighter Aircraft Fuel and Hydrazine experience.
Minimum 4 years experience as an Aircraft Fuels and Hydrazine supervisor.
Candidates must have at least 4 years experience directly related to F-16 fuel/hydrazine systems. Must have held USAF certifications in hydrazine/special fuel handling and completed a USAF or equivalent qualification course on fuel systems maintenance and provide documentation of such. Should have a minimum of two years recent experience with fuel cell maintenance on the F-16. Experience on other aircraft will be considered.
Desired skills USAF 7 level or equivalent
Previous experience setting up maintenance work areas
A strong understanding of the maintenance concept and processes
Perform routine system troubleshooting, installation and repair.
Have a working knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems and components on the F-16 aircraft
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access)
Ground handling, minor maintenance, and servicing
Min 4 years documented experience on the F-16 Aircraft / systems
Ability to speak/communicate in Arabic
