Lockheed Martin F-16 Engine Formal Training Instructor in Bethesda, Maryland
This position is located at Balad Air Base Balad. P&W-229 Engine Formal Training Instructor
Duties: Primarily responsible are to develop and teach F-16 maintenance courses, produce training materials for a ground up training detachment at Balad Air Base, Iraq. Candidate will also be responsible for courseware edit and design for training Iraq Air Force F-16 maintenance technicians and assigned Lockheed Martin technicians as applicable.
If not involved in training activities, may be assigned to assist with normal Engine Shop activities to meet mission requirements.
Facilities are in various levels of completion and everyone is expected to participate in set-up activities as needed. Including but not limited to light to medium construction activities such as assembling warehouse shelving and furniture in all areas of the maintenance complex. Candidates must be willing and able to participate in all set-up activities, assist with receiving and storing supplies and support equipment. Environmental/weather conditions can be extreme. Site is a secure compound which team members will be confined to. Flexibility, a positive attitude and excellent people skills are a must.
Basic Qualifications - 2 years prior US Air Force-style training experience • USAF 7 level or equivalent in aircraft related maintenance specialty • Ability to read and explain technical manuals and job guides • Ability to read and follow Plan of Instruction (POI) to conduct training • Knowledge of Instructional Systems Design (ISD) process • Ability to design and edit established courseware • Experience performing classroom lecture and hands on training • Must be experienced user of multi-media equipment •Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) •Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired skills • Experience working with foreign nationals • Verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills. • Must have positive attitude, personality and cultural understanding to effectively accomplish training program goals. • Previous experience working with foreign customers is preferred.
