Lockheed Martin LM Regional IT Senior Manager in Bethesda, Maryland
US-Based position reporting to Paul Howard, Director, International IT Services. Over the past 18 months Lockheed Martin has significantly increased its focus on international business growth. As a result, the scope of the International IT Services organization has also expanded to accommodate these new opportunities.
To support this growth, IITS has created this new and challenging position. Reporting to the International IT Services Director, the successful candidate will take full ownership and management responsibility for the l IITS delivery scope.. and act as the primary point of contact with the in regional executives.
The successful candidate will need to ensure that IT Services meet or exceed the agreed Service Level Agreements while keeping within the established budgets. They will also be responsible for driving value add enhancements to the service offered to our customers. Additionally, they will be required to develop standards and processes that can be leveraged across the International IT community to help drive standardization and efficiencies for the wider enterprise
It will be essential to demonstrate the contribution that technology can make to business objectives, defining strategy, validating business needs and taking into account the opportunities afforded by technology developments.
The successful candidate must lead the implementation of the regional IT strategy, while also keeping the regional businesses aligned with the Enterprise. They must also ensure that robust risk management and business continuity plans are in place, own all service improvements, changes and escalation relating to the regional business. Develop and maintain a highly trained and motivated centralized team to meet the IT needs of the Lockheed Martin regional businesses.
Basic Qualifications • Proven experience in operations and or program management. • Ability to interact with Business Area and Program leaders to assess corporate opportunity to deliver value and cost savings to the Business areas. • Proven track record in successfully managing budgets and projects. • Strong Leadership skills and inter-personal skills. • Be able to work in a team environment and lead by example • A focused approach on energizing the team. • Ability to motivate employees and deliver within the EBS culture. • An in-depth understanding of the current IT trends and new developments, and how these relate to the IT vision and strategy. • Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation), including the ability to listen effectively. • Strong self-awareness, and a capacity to reflect on own practice and implement changes from lessons learned. • Strategic thinker, coupled with a pragmatic hands-on approach to getting the job done.
