Lockheed Martin Test Engineer in Bothell, Washington

This position is contingent upon contract award and is subject to change. Provides test engineering & test equipment design support for development and production activity at Bothell and gives guidance to other LM sites. Involved with start-up activities associated with new product introduction including developing testing concepts, detailed test equipment design, ordering, tracking, final prove in of test equipment. Creates and maintains schematics, engineering drawings and other documentation for test equipment / stations supporting engineering development and pilot production. The test engineer will work closely with technicians and engineers in executing tasks that could include cable harness assembly, board level test, subassembly & box level assembly / test, thermal testing, and other similar assembly and test tasks both in the R&D labs and on the pilot production line. The test engineer must have a willingness to conduct hands on testing. Apply lean manufacturing techniques to reduce cost and increase yields. Investigate root cause of failures/defects and implement corrective action to support continuous improvement. Must be comfortable within a rapid development environment; able to execute within short timelines and a given budget. Attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, good organizational skills, computer literacy, and a demonstrated ability to thrive in a team environment. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

The Locale: Bothell is a city located in the state of Washington in the Pacific Northwest. It is part of the Seattle metropolitan area. Bothell is home to Cascadia Community College and the University of Washington, Bothell.

Basic Qualifications Attention to detail, good interpersonal skills, good organizational skills, computer literacy, and a demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to generate engineering drawings, schematics, and other documentation. Fluency in RF, digital, analog, power, and/or logic systems Capable of generating procedures/documentation for use in production environment. Solid trouble-shooting skills. Demonstrated capability to work on multiple tasks at the same time Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Desired skills Educational background in electronics or computer science. Exceptional lab skills: ability to test and debug electronics Fluency in LabView, LabWindows, C or C++
