Lockheed Martin Project Engineer Sr in Cape Canaveral, Florida
Supports, coordinates, and ensure the completion of Facility Engineering projects. Exercise technical authority for the design, planning, organizing, control, integration and completion of assigned Facility Engineering projects to include major facility modifications, construction projects, Class III support equipment projects, and facility systems engineering projects for the Trident II missile. Duties include development and review of engineering data packages; drawings, specifications, testing/acceptance procedures and cost estimating. Plan and formulate engineering program reviews, product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates and participates in activities concerned with technical development, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering degree from an accredited university or college.
Must have experience analyzing technical requirements and ability to translate to design.
Must have experience in design of Civil/Structural (preferably Facilities) engineering projects.
Must have experience participating in package and/or system level failure investigations.
This position requires the applicant to have the ability to obtain a secret clearance to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen
Desired skills Familiarity with the MILCON process Experience on a Defense Program involving missiles, working directly with customer counterparts to resolve technical issues Design and analysis experience with reinforced concrete, steel and frame structures and construction methodologies. Design and analysis experience for concrete and asphalt transportation routes (roads) including their supporting utilities. Working knowledge of FBM facility requirement process Understand and prepare the following Facility Engineering Products: Facility Design Criteria, Statement of Work and construction estimates. Familiar with A&E design review process and oversight of engineering design packages. Experience facilitating design reviews with and understanding of the adjudication and verification processes. General knowledge and understanding of related codes. e.g.; ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, AASHTO and Unified Facility Criteria. Excellent computer utilization skills (STAAD-Pro, RISA-3D, Autodesk, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Licensure in Structural Engineering (FE / PE). Computer assisted drafting (AutoCAD, REVIT, Pro-E). Demonstrated execution of engineering projects from start to finish. Demonstrated experience creating work products for design, inspection and testing activities. Demonstrated experience integrating systems or equipment into existing process or space. Must have demonstrated strong communication skills (verbal, presentation, and written). Must have strong organizational and team/relationship building skills Must have demonstrated ability to coordinate/resolve technical issues across multiple teams/customers.
