Lockheed Martin Software Engineer Associate in Cape Canaveral, Florida

Perform software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include requirements analysis, object oriented analysis & design (OOD), code & unit test, integration, and support to formal test and delivery. Participate in technical reviews and audits of software products. Utilize Model Based Design approaches. Support development of complex system internal and external interfaces. This position requires interaction, planning and coordination with multiple software development, spacecraft engineering and data engineering/maintenance teams.

Ability to obtain secret clearance is required for this position.

Basic Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in a Software, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related engineering program from an accredited college/university.

This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.

Desired skills Understanding of full software lifecycle concepts including requirement definition and flow down, strong development skills and test concepts, and methodology. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience developing real-time embedded software. Experience with single board computers and real-time operating systems. Toolset familiarity such as Rhapsody, SIMULINK, MATLAB, VxWorks, DOORS, ClearCase, Synergy; SysML or UML.
