Lockheed Martin Electrical Engineer Sr / Component Engineer Sr / Chelmsford, MA in Chelmsford, Massachusetts
Responsibilities include: Lead Component Failure Investigations Implement pure Tin testing and mitigation of components Research and determine impact of GUIDEP alters Generation of formal reports for plastic encapsulated device (PED) status and component obsolescence status Lead qualification of COTS parts for high reliability military applications Perform electronics circuit reliability calculations Researching component termination styles, plastic encapsulation styles and component construction processes Performing component stress analysis IAW with military de-rating guidelines Generation of Vendor Identification Drawings, Source Control Drawings and Altered Item Drawings Researching and answering any other questions related to electronic component reliability Researching and tracking component obsolescence status Present and review electrical component reliability information with customers.
The Locale: Chelmsford is a charming suburb of Boston located about 25 miles northwest of that city. Chelmsford is very close to historic Lowell Massachusetts and to Nashua, New Hampshire. Chelmsford is within reach of New Hampshire’s White Mountains and awesome ski areas to the north, and the scenic coastal towns of MA and NH are about an hour east. This scenic colonial region offers lots of New England charm, great schools, shopping, and restaurants. Chelmsford and the region share an impressive past from the early days after the pilgrims arrived in Plymouth to the revolutionary war. Where can you get to from Chelmsford? Chelmsford is about 90 minutes from Cape Cod. Boston is about 30 minutes to the east without traffic. New York City is about 4.5 hours away from Chelmsford. Waterville Valley and other major ski resorts of New Hampshire and Vermont are about 2 to 3 hours to the north.
Basic Qualifications Computer skills such as MSWord, Excel
Demonstrated knowledge of electrical component parameters and packaging.
Demonstrated knowledge of high reliability Military component standards and specifications such as MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-38534, MIL-PRF-55342, MIL-PRF-55681.
Demonstrated knowledge of Automotive Electronics Quality Standards such as AEC-Q100, AEC-Q101, AEC-Q200.
Demonstrated experience creating Source Control Drawings (SCD), Altered Item Drawings (AID), and Vendor Item Drawings (VID).
Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance and have at least an interim secret prior to start.
Desired skills Experience performing system reliability calculations.
Experience with schematic capture programs ie. Cadence Capture.
Experience with SAP, Microsoft Access, Oracle, or similar database systems.
Experience with component thermal analysis.
Demonstrated attention to detail; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to multitask; good organizational skills, computer literacy, and demonstrated ability to thrive in a team environment.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Experience with component database services such as QSTAR and Silicon Expert.
