Lockheed Martin Data Center Network Lead in Denver, Colorado
As a Team Lead for the Data Center Infrastructure (DCI) Local Area Network (LAN) Network Operations, this position successfully applies technology to meet service commitments for our primary clients, our Lockheed Martin (LM) Business Units (BU) and the Enterprise Business Services (EBS). This position will be responsible for assigning tasks and leading a virtual team across the three Data Centers located at Valley Forge, Fort Worth, and Denver.
These activities include the highest level of network troubleshooting, maintaining and updating network documentation and associated information, security governance documentation, hardware/IOS production certification and solution testing, and hardware/IOS installation and maintenance.
Successfully follow standard operating procedures, conform to established policies and standards, and use industry practices, techniques, and standards for guidance.
The position will require some weekend and after hours support on an as needed basis.
ALL qualified candidates will be considered; however those living in Denver, CO or King of Prussia, PA are preferred.
In addition, the position will need the ability to travel as required.
Basic Qualifications Expertise in network infrastructure operations - Familiarity to include, but not limited to: Cisco routers, Cisco Nexus Switches, Brocade Network Switches, Brocade Network Advisor, Juniper NSM, STRM, and UAC (IC/MAG), Riverbed Steelhead, Interceptor, and Central Management Console, F5 BIG-IP LTM and GTM, Riverbed SteelCentral Network Performance Management (NPM), and CA Spectrum Experience troubleshooting Tier 3 network connectivity and peer-to-peer application issues at all levels of the TCP/IP stack via packet capture and analysis Experience with network design and installation of routers, switches, application load balancers, and wide area network optimizers Experience with Unix/Linux scripting languages such as Python and Perl Understanding of Unix and Windows operating systems and OS networking Experience interacting with management and collaborate on technical, audits, and compliance matters Demonstrated strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to successfully multi-task Excellent communication skills: written and verbal
Desired skills Active DoD secret security clearance Expertise with routing protocols and IP flow In-depth knowledge of ITSM (Remedy) incident management, service request, change management and problem management processes Strong capacity planning and change management skills Demonstrated ability to reach across organizational boundaries to leverage best practices and share resources Experience or familiarity with Data Center enterprise-wide IT processes and systems including storage and compute • Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, Brocade, or Security + • Configuration management or automation related experience with tools and languages such as Ansible, GitHub, Puppet, Chef • Experience with business collaboration across the enterprise • Familiarity with Agile Development Process
