Lockheed Martin Operational Analyst Staff in Denver, Colorado
Lockheed Martin is seeking an Operational Analyst on a Mission Analysis team leveraging LM modeling and simulation capabilities to address our customer’s most challenging problems. This analyst position will support various programs, including contracts with core customer and internal R&D efforts.
The successful candidate will oversee and execute analysis efforts (trade studies, analysis of alternatives) throughout their entire life cycle, coordinating with internal and external customers and with the analysis and development team members throughout the effort. Responsibilities will include defining analysis objectives and a detailed analysis task plan that leverages LM modeling and simulation capabilities. This lead role will include a combination of coordinating and overseeing junior analysts on task execution as well as executing tasks yourself. The execution phase includes configuring models, executing simulations, troubleshooting issues and analyzing large data sets in an articulated meaningful manner to meet the overall analysis objectives. Analysts are required to document their results in presentations, white papers and demos and brief the results to the customer to inform their decision making.

TS/SCI Clearance required for this position.

Desired skills Prior modeling, simulation and analysis experience; GEOINT domain expertise in the areas of Orbital Mechanics, Sensor Payloads, Product Quality and Planning and Scheduling; Synthesizing and simplifying complex information; Strong Math/Physics background; Programming and Scripting (Perl, Matlab); Satellite Tool Kit (STK), Relational DB/SQL; Statistics and trend analysis; Advanced mathematics; Systems engineering; Superb customer interaction; Professional team player who takes initiative; Ability to work autonomously, Experience w/ small teams, and public speaking
