Lockheed Martin Quality Control Analyst Manager in Edwards Air Force Base, California
This position will be based at Edwards AFB.
Responsible for managing Quality & Mission Success (Q&MS) personnel supporting F-35 Flight Test & Modification activities at Edwards AFB, CA. Candidate will collaborate with various Q&MS elements, Maintenance, Logistics, Test Ops, Engineering, Configuration Management, Government Quality Representatives and customers to meet program quality, cost, and schedule objectives and commitments. Candidate will be responsible for establishing organizational projects, schedules and performance standards to ensure compliance with LM Quality policy, inspection procedures, and audit processes for all ground and flight operations. Develop and manage Quality performance metrics to monitor health of the Quality Management System. Support corrective and preventive action investigations/ decisions/ validations, variation management actions, and supplier quality integration tasks. Coordinate requirements and oversee the flight and exceptional release processes for flight test aircraft. Develop / Enhance local operating procedures compliant with AS9100 and DCMAI-8210. Serve as the primary focal point for coordinating Aircraft and Material Surveys impacting the test site. Directly oversee personnel conducting LM acceptance operations. Coordinate subordinate employee selection, training, performance assessment, skills gap closure and recognition/disciplinary actions.
Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Secret Clearance Required prior to start with investigation within the past 5 years.
Basic Qualifications Minimum 7 years experience in Quality Assurance, aircraft maintenance with active flight-line / ground operations support experience. Prior leadership experience with a minimum of 3 years in Quality Assurance. Strong working knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management System and DCMAI-8210 Contractor’s Flight & Ground Operations requirements. Experience with Material Review processes, inspection tools and techniques, nonconformance documentation is required. Prior experience in at least one of the following: causal analyses/problem solving, corrective and preventive action, continuous improvement methods and techniques. Experience reading and interpreting Engineering drawings/specifications. Experience with Safety of Flight Inspections, Exceptional Release, Government Inspection Office coordination, and verification responsibilities is required. Comprehensive knowledge of FOD / Tool Control and Hydraulic Fluid Contamination Control processes. Prior experience with at least one of the following safety matters: ground safety standards, hazard tracking/risk resolution, mishap/incident investigation, preparing written reports and documents on safety metrics. Previous AS9100 audit experience in Surveillance Systems. Secret clearance required prior to start with investigation in the past five years.
Desired skills Practical knowledge of data management related to the collection, maintenance, and reconciliation of aircraft records required. High energy, self-starting, team player who achieves goals. Ability to work independently and without direct supervision and possesses excellent teaming skills. Ability to interface with all levels of management, technical experts, and floor level personnel in a multi-organizational environment. Prior experience with development of field related metrics, audit schedules and surveillance plans. Working Knowledge of aspects of the Environmental, Health and Safety Management System Ability to effectively promote understanding of performance expectations, technical instructions and verification requirements for process and product compliance. DCMA Government Ground Representative training considered a plus. OSEP Assessor certification or Certified Quality Auditor. Green/Black Belt, PDCA certification or other Continuous Improvement experience. Proficient with CMMS/ALIS, ICA, PDM, JDL, QSS, and VAS. Specific experience with LM Aero Quality Survey System (QSS) & Aircraft/Material survey processes.
