Lockheed Martin Project Engineer - C-130J - Proposal, BOE, & Negotiations Experience in Fort Walton Beach, Florida
The LM SOF CLSS Engineering design team is looking for a staff level Project Engineer to serve on the AC-130J engineering leadership staff.
Our new team member will be someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, leads by example, and has the desire and ability to influence and foster collaboration and teamwork to generate impactful results. This person will be part of a team which is responsible for leading a multi-discipline engineering team in developing rapid proposals, modification efforts on the AC-130J, and field sustainment activities. The candidate ensures that the program's technical resource needs are met and coordinates manpower work shares with other groups.
The candidate works with the team to develop a detailed Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) which is used throughout the lifecycle of the contract. The candidate ensures approval/sign-offs for all engineering proposals/ECPs and that the requirements are baselined, fully documented, traced, maintained and adequately verified. The candidate will act as the Control Account Manager (CAM).
Basic Qualifications Proven track record as CAM and Project Engineering • Previous Proposal, BOE, & Negotiations experience. • Risk and Opportunity Management experience. • Demonstrated experience in driving complex issues or problems to successful closure.
Strong problem solving, root cause, corrective action, and closure skills. • Lead discussions and determine resolutions to problems. • Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with customer. • Accept responsibility, accountability and exercise authority to ensure cost, schedule, and technical success. • Support internal and external customer audits.
Exceptional communication skills; Ability to collaborate with PMO, Engineering, Customers, and other matrix organizations in the execution of the PE role.
Comfortable working in a dynamically changing and challenging program.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret level security clearance (US Citizen)
Desired skills Electrical systems design experience.
Experience with the principles and requirements for the following specialty engineering tasks (Reliability predictions, Spares analysis, and TO Source Data Development).
Excellent presentation skills.
Strong influencing and relationship skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of an integrated team.
Ability to liaise with, speak and present effectively to personnel at all levels of the organization.
Strong communication and relationship management skills
