Lockheed Martin F-35 Program A Fifth Generation Fighter Aircraft

-Work within the F-35 Finite Element Analysis team to develop, size, update, maintain and analyze the F-35 Air Vehicle for all variants (CTOL, STOVL, CV). Lead a small team within the F-35 Finite Element Analysis team in developing and maintaining a component finite element model on schedule, having responsibilities for the overall quality, robustness, and accuracy of the component FEM, working within the guiding principles of the F-35 FEA team. Help develop course grid FEM studies and any fine grid finite element models, as required. Also responsible for comparing aircraft test data to the FEM to determine accuracy and areas for improvement for the overall AVFEM. Works closely with the F-35 Finite Element Analysis Manager and interacts closely with the F-35 Loads, Stress, Service Life, and Design IPTs. Responsible for presenting model changes, internal load results and any known anomalies to various F-35 IPT leadership.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's or Above Degree in a Engineering Discipline

Experience with NASTRAN and PATRAN.

Experience with ABAQUS

Experience with Finite Element Analysis

Experience with HYPERMESH

Requires the ability to obtain a Secret clearance


Desired skills

Experience reviewing various FEM results in TMP/Vision is required

Experience with the MS Office suite.

Experience with and the UNIX/LINUX operating system is required.

Strong communication and coordination skills are highly desired.

Experience with TMP Vision.

Experience working with technical personnel from industry partners and international customers is desired.
