Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Engineer Stf in Fort Worth, Texas

This engineering position is with Advanced Development Programs (aka Skunk Works) in Fort Worth, TX. The candidate is responsible for planning, executing, coordinating and providing resources for all mechanical and electrical vehicle subsystems activities. Candidate responsibilities include overall subsystems integration and architectures including fuel, electrical, environmental controls, pressurization, and the Air Cushioned Landing System (ACLS). Candidate will also be responsible for management of subsystems design, development, integration, test, and efforts to support FAA certification. • Coordinate all Subsystems integration engineering efforts, • Interface with customers on technical capabilities and Subsystems performance • Plan tasks, schedules, budgets, and staffing of all Subsystems efforts • Coordinate with management, other IPTs, FAA, DERs, customers and suppliers. • Ensure Subsystems development is performed to requirements and thoroughly documented for certification. • Further responsibilities include coordination with partner companies. • Represent program Subsystems to company management and maintain good working relationships with program customers. • Other tasks/duties as assigned

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering or related discipline.

Desired skills • Demonstrated expertise and experience in the following technical areas: fuel system design and analysis; electrical power generation and distribution systems; auxiliary power systems; ECS and low pressure air systems; and landing systems. • Demonstrated experience managing large acquisitions/suppliers. • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with hover systems and airship pressurization and ballonet systems is highly desirable. • Demonstrated experience working with certification agencies for military of civilian aircraft is also highly desirable.
