Develop, manage and execute the Audit Plan with consideration to risk and compliance. Oversees and approves the development of the Audit Plan schedule, resources, reports, findings and recommendations. Skilled in mentoring and developing an audit team to ensure a strong skill set in identifying internal control issues, documenting findings and making relevant recommendations. Manages multiple audit and related projects to assure that professional standards are met and that audit resources are effectively and efficiently utilized. Act as senior advisor to executive management on risk and compliance issues and process effectiveness. Effective negotiation skills, a proactive and 'no surprises' approach in communicating issues and strength in sustaining independent views. This individual must be an articulate and effective communicator, both orally and in writing, with an energetic and approachable style. Develops effective senior line management relationships and has a strong understanding of the businesses. Coordinate with DCAA, DCMA and other external audits.

Basic Qualifications Knowledge and experience auditing the six DFARS Business Systems, FAR, Information Technology, engineering, quality assurance, program reviews and operational reviews Understanding of internal audit standards, policies, and government requirements Understands how to assess risks and evaluate the business procedures and systems controls designed to mitigate those risks Project management skills Strong leadership and relationship building skills Microsoft applications (Work, Excel, Powerpoint) Personable

Desired skills Certified Internal Audit (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Skilled in mentoring and developing an audit team to ensure a strong skill set in identifying internal control issues, documenting findings, and making relevant recommendations. Uses excellent communication skills in order to influence a wide range of internal audiences including respective lines of business, functional, or executive management. May negotiate internally often at higher levels on matters which could have a major impact on the area managed. Demonstrates strong judgment, political astuteness, and sensitivity to cultural diversity.
