Provide leadership for ongoing IRAD and CRAD projects in support of the investigation, development and maturation of new/emerging material systems for Low Observable (LO) applications. Candidate will conceptualize and execute plans for the development, evaluation and production implementation of LO material systems suitable for broad ranges of frequencies including coordination between program management and government customers for technology transfers. Will be assisting Sr. Manager in developing technology roadmaps and interfacing with customers to initiate and develop LO Materials related new business opportunities. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Must be a US Citizen as this position is located at a facility that requires special access
Basic Qualifications Experience leading CRAD and IRAD projects.
First-hand knowledge of state-of-the-art Low Observable (LO) material system properties and processes.
Subject Matter Expert in LO Material
Must have a secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
Desired skills Knowledge of advanced aircraft signature material’s manufacturing requirements/processes. Project Management certification. Proposal leadership and writing experience. Experience with primary customers Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to conceptualize and execute plans for the development, evaluation and production implementation of LO material systems suitable for broad ranges of performances. Experience with NRL Arch, transmission, and FTIR testing equipment and methodologies. Experience in the qualification of new materials for flight test demonstrations as well as production. Top Secret Clearance Preferred
