Lockheed Martin Labs and Technical Services (L&TS) is seeking a project Engineer for a position in Fort Worth, TX to support the F35 Ownship and Environment Team in the development of F35 simulation products.
The candidate will be responsible for assisting Domain, Project & Functional Management, as well as Control Account Managers across one or more projects in the planning and management of the project. This will be accomplished through active participation in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and status assignments.
The candidate will perform analysis of engineering data and helps assess ability to meet project milestones, by providing weekly status and schedule metrics to project leadership.
The candidate will support the project lead by providing inputs for weekly and monthly task status for both the Project Cycle Schedule (PCS) as well as the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). Will assist CAM with opening and closing charge numbers, pulling weekly actuals reports, and performing Estimate at Complete (EAC) analysis. Candidate will develop/refine knowledge of Critical Path Methodology and how to apply it in schedule network development and analysis. Will be responsible for data and charts for Management Status Report (MSR).
Assists with estimate preparation and entry into the appropriate tools. Coordinates the estimates with the project teams, CAM's and the Lab management. As applicable, estimates should comply with TINA (Truth in Negotiations Act), CAS (Cost Accounting Standards) and BOE (Basis of Estimate) standards.
Basic Qualifications - Experience with general project management planning and processes. - Experience with Microsoft Project, metric management & analysis skills. - Planning and Earned Value (EV) metric experience. - Experience multi-tasking in a high-tempo environment and be able to interact with multiple organizations and levels of management. - Demonstrated organizational and planning skills with prior experience managing complex tasks
Desired skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - CAM training. - Experience in Opening/Closing charge numbers and charging management. - Experience in writing Basis of Estimates and estimating methodology. - Experience in Milestone charting. - Experience in communicating project status to management and customers. - Experience in EAC planning - Seeking a team player with a positive attitude who is a self-starter. - Experience with the following tools: Primavera, CAM workbench, Milestones Professional, Aeronautics Proposal Tool Suite (APTS), formerly ECAPs, ADAR, MS VBA, F35 Toolbox, Dimensions, DOORS, JDL
