Lockheed Martin QA Engineer in Fort Worth, Texas
This position reports to the Air Vehicle & Mission Systems Product Team (AV&MS) within the Supplier Quality Management organization. The job requires travel throughout the continental United States. The primary location of the work task is Grand Rapids MI.The expected period of performance at this location is approximately 18-24 months. Location assignments will be assessed at the conclusion of the period of performance for this supplier.
Will be responsible for product acceptance, Suppliers Quality Management System Oversight, and executing the Supplier Quality Performance Improvement Model. Will accomplish through effectively analyzing performance data, identifying issues and engagement opportunities with the supplier, planning and executing that engagement. Will engage in preventive / predictive actions that provide right the first time and all the time quality of supplied parts. Will investigate, coordinate, monitor and follow-up on supplier-related engineering, manufacturing, and quality issues.• Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree or above in an Engineering/Technical discipline. • Minimum 2 years experience in Quality Management Systems, e.g., International (ISO), National (AS) standards. • Understand and perform surveillance as required for Quality applications. • Understand and perform complete root cause/corrective and preventive action as related to supplier performance. • Experience evaluating supplier performance and the working knowledge of continuous improvement methods to insure improving supplier quality performance.
Desired skills • Certified Quality Engineer • Project Management training / experience. • Proven ability to work independently. • Conflict resolution training /experience. • Statistical process control (SPC) experience. • Proficiency with Quality Assurance processes and procedures. • Greenbelt / Blackbelt certification. • Proficiency with SAP. • Experience delivering presentations to leadership and customers. • Industrial Engineering experience / Project management experience a plus. • Possess hands-on, working knowledge of Engineering drawings, Manufacturing, and Quality processes. • Read and communicate technical and contractual issues with suppliers and perform purchase order reviews. • Read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications. • Working technical knowledge of Electrical or Fluid Systems design or manufacturing process and techniques. • Strong written, verbal communication and organizational skills. • Ability to tactfully achieve desired actions . • Strong interpersonal skills (will engage with senior leaders). • Ability to excel in a fast paced, potentially high stress, changing environment.
