This position is with the Skunk Works Mission Systems and Software team located in Fort Worth, Texas. The specific focus of this position is to participate in the implementation of an aircraft cockpit displays architecture, development and integration of aircraft cockpit displays, and evaluation of Pilot-Vehicle Interface (PVI).
The selected candidate will be a member of a high-performing team supporting a technology development effort and will be expected to readily interpret and decompose high-level architecture requirements and be able to translate these into an integrated system. The candidate must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must demonstrate effective communication skills as the position will require frequent internal interactions with project leads and other software engineers in the group. The ability to travel on occasion for team interaction and integration and test activities may be required.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM)-related field - Experience with systems integration & test - Experience with aircraft avionics or mission systems
Desired skills - Experience with Human Systems Integration (HSI) or Pilot-Vehicle Interface (PVI) - Fundamental knowledge of aircraft electronic displays - Avionics systems and embedded processing - Prior experience working for a display hardware IPT or Systems Integration & Test is preferred - Experience with a Joint Cockpit Working Group - Experience with flight testing of aircraft mission systems - Ability to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive conflict, and manage interpersonal dynamics - Strong decision making and judgment - Independent and self-motivated - Oral and written communication skills - Basic financial and business acumen - Demonstrated experience and ability to deliver results for the business in partnership with program managers and other functional disciplines/organizations as needed - Demonstrated experience using standard office software tools/ solutions e.g., Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) - Ability to travel 20%
