Lockheed Martin Software Engineer / Chief Engineer in Fort Worth, Texas

The Skunk Works is looking for world-class talent in mission systems and software engineering to join the 74 year tradition of creating advanced products. This position is a Chief Engineer (CE) within an ADP Product Line in Fort Worth, Texas. The CE will manage all activities and maintain oversight of and responsibility for the cost, schedule and technical performance. Will lead the Team in development of all aspects of the program.

The candidate will serve as a mentor and lead for team members working the program. Responsibilities Include: 1) Control Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities in adherence with the business rhythm (baseline activities, VARs, IMS status, ETC updates, Manpower forecast and subcontract management) 2) BOE development/support 3) Development of Product Support strategies to ensure supportability is considered and maintained throughout the program life cycle. 4) Oversees leads and ensures task are being managed 5) Proofread drafts of created data packages and providing applicable feedback related to maintenance, operational, grammatical or formatting problems inside publications to ensure customer requirements are met.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Top Secret with an investigation within the last 5 years.

Basic Qualifications Control Account Management System/Software Design Experience

Desired skills Expertise in Object Oriented Design (OOD) Experience developing applications on Linux Knowledge of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) Experience documenting designs using UML Experience with network based messaging using XML, XSD, and XSLT Experience capturing Software Requirements Experience with Virtualization Technologies Knowledge of Agile Principles and Frameworks Knowledge of Agile Tools (JIRA, Version One) Knowledge of Configuration Management Tools (Git, BitBucket, SVN) Ability to Travel Experience with Test Complete Ability to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive conflict, and manage interpersonal dynamics Strong decision making and judgment Oral and written communication skills Basic financial and business acumen Demonstrated experience and ability to deliver results for the business in partnership with program managers and other functional disciplines/organizations as needed
