Lockheed Martin Software Engineer Senior Staff in Fort Worth, Texas
This position is for a Product Manager (PM) on the Integrated Fighter Group (IFG) Ground Systems Software (GSS) team. The PM is the content authority for the GSS Agile Release Train (ART) program backlog and is responsible for developing the ART vision and roadmap. The PM is the facilitator for the ART Product Management Team that is responsible for supporting the development of the ART Program backlog and managing the allocation of backlog features to the ART teams. The Product Manager is also a member of the IFG GSS System Design team, responsible for Systems Engineering products for IMIS.
The Product Manager (PM) will perform the following for the GSS ART: Backlog Grooming to include definition, prioritization and acceptance criteria of capabilities and features Collaborate and communicate with solution management on establishing the program roadmap aligned with contract cost and schedule Participate in Program Increment planning activities, demos and retrospectives Oversee ART feature validation and verification efforts ensuring that designs meet requirements, incorporate cost-effective technologies, and minimize risk Represent ART on change review board meetings Lead Systems Engineer for the IMIS system with responsibility for working with the customer on requirements development and technical baseline control
Candidate must have background in Agile based software development practices. Candidate must be able to execute in a high paced environment. Candidate will be expected to develop project engineering and systems engineering products in order to guide and status agile development teams. Must be able to work without appreciable direction. Ability to represent the organization as the prime technical contact and have experience interacting with senior external personnel on significant technical matters. Must be a US Citizen. Must have current security clearance.
Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree in an Engineering or Computer Science discipline required. At least 5 years experience developing system level requirements. Experience with aircraft maintenance. Experience with design, development, and/or test of software systems. Experience with requirements management for a software system. Experience with leading a program or project through major release milestones (i.e. PDR, CDR, TRR etc.).
Desired skills Experience with the F-22 Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS) or the F-35 Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS). Experience with Agile Software Development and/or SCRUM processes. Experience with requirements analysis, decomposition, and allocation. Experience working with software subcontractors. Experience with the verification and sell-off of a system to a customer through formal test events. Selected candidate must have excellent organizational and communication skills. Experience with continuous integration and the various tools used for agile development.
