Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer Asc in Fort Worth, Texas
This position is for a member of the Systems Engineering team with the Skunk Works at the Fort Worth site, providing support across the entire product line including both new and existing programs. The position requires an understanding of both technical program management and System Engineering support for the pursuit and capture of new business. The candidate will be part of a fast paced, dynamic environment exploring state of the art technical solutions.
Candidate will coordinate with multiple LOB Program Offices, Customers, Internal Management, Business Development, Business Ventures, and Integrated Product Teams to produce desired end products within directed schedule and funding constraints. Candidate is required to create and deliver informative, persuasive presentations to both internal and external stakeholders. International travel will be required and previous experience in working with international customers is highly desirable. Knowledge on US export policy is desirable.
Candidate will provide systems engineering support, to include but not limited to requirements tracking, risk management, SOWs and solution development across multiple projects within an ADP program. A qualified candidate will be able to understand the scope of the program and work across IPTs to ensure all aspects of the project are covered with appropriate requirements. Understanding of industry-standard requirement formulation, decomposition, flow-down, traceability, and metrics. The ability to work with functional experts and generate requirements is a must.
The ideal candidate would have experience with writing and managing Statements of Work (SOWs) and Engineering Requirements Documents (ERDs) for Subcontracts, Vendors and RFP proposal/responses. Evidence of customer shaping through whitepaper development is desired. A working knowledge of the LM capture excellence and business pursuit process is necessary.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Electrical, Material, or related Engineering degree •Experience with requirements generation or development and decomposition •Experience with tracking requirements using software tools (e.g., DOORS, Excel)
