This position is with the Skunk Works Mission Systems & Software team located in Fort Worth, Texas. This position is for an experienced Systems Engineer or Scientist who demonstrates a working knowledge of Algorithm development and implementation. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for understanding and helping to frame requirements for algorithm development, developing subsystem specifications, and integration of a detailed design. Software coding experience is preferred, as this candidate will essentially be a liaison between system architects and the software coders.

The selected candidate will play an integral part of a high performing team on a special project. This position will be involved in products at various stages of the system development lifecycle, including Requirements Generation, System and Software Detailed Design, Implementation, and Integration & Test.

The candidate must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must demonstrate effective communication skills as the position will require frequent program management and customer interactions. Must have experience building and maintaining internal and external customer relationships.

Candidate must have experience with developing and flowing software requirements, generating code, security design definition, and integration & test.

Must have experience working in a team environment and possess the ability to plan and execute tasks efficiently and gather and disseminate information working with peers, subordinates and management.

The ability to travel on occasion is required.

Selected applicant must have a secret security clearance and must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. This position will require a DOD security clearance.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's or above Degree in a STEM-related degree. Experience in system requirements definition and decomposition. Experience/knowledge of embedded mission systems. Experience with algorithm development.

Desired skills Experience developing and interpreting design requirements and implementation roadmaps, metrics, and other controls to monitor and report on program progress and health.

Ability to work task assignments independently and effectively in a team environment Ability to decompose requirements to assure accurate and efficient flow to meet and help drive business guidelines and program contractual needs.
