Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer Senior - Link 16 in Fort Worth, Texas

Lockheed Martin is looking for an experienced Tactical Data Link J (TADIL J) Link-16 Systems Engineer to support the Aeronautics business area / F-35 Mission Systems Program.

The applicant will use their experience integrating Link16 systems on airborne military platforms and have a thorough understanding of Link 16 requirements, including MIL-STD-6016. They will use their hands-on experience with Link 16 terminal hardware, specifically the Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) LVT-1, including cryptographic key loading and an understanding of the MIDS Interface Control Document (ICD), as well as with the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS). The applicant will use Link 16 test tools, such as: Tactical Data Link Integration Exerciser (TIGER) and Battlefield Operations Support System (BOSS) test tools, as well as with tools for data reduction including Message Analysis and Data Reduction for the Integration of Links (MANDRIL), and be able to analyze hex data at the bit/byte level. The applicant should have intimate knowledge of Link 16 network design and the creation of network design loads (NDL). The candidate will use their operational experience working with Link 16 as part of a platform installation, as well as Link 16 service level and joint level certification test experience.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in an Engineering/Technical Field.

Experience with the design and integration of applications utilizing Link 16 for aircraft or ships.

Experience with the testing of avionics and/or aircraft/ship system hardware and software.

Desired skills Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a team as well as work as a team member. Experience working on Link 16 systems and familiarity with F-35 subsystems. Knowledge of Link 16 standards, messaging and network design. Experience with the design, integration, and field support of avionics systems.

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
