Lockheed Martin Test Engineer in Fort Worth, Texas
Position tasks include the support of the Acceptance Test Facility's (ATF) test equipment; radar, hoist system, turntable, calibration systems; as well as the facility's aircraft support equipment: hydraulics, cooling air, and electrical, used to load and unload the aircraft in the facility. Responsible to support all testing; will learn all aspects of gathering measurement data and providing both processed and raw data to the F-35 Signature group for evaluation. Responsible for using the Repair Verification Radar (RVR) system to support data required pre-post OML repairs in the ATF and on the flightline.
-Operate the data imaging system for processing/analyzing measurement data and providing both processed and raw data to the F-35 Signature group -Support loading/unloading aircraft onto the test fixture- all aspects. -Responsible for complying with LM defined Range Certification requirements for the RCS measurement range following National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) Range Certification guidelines. -Perform Team Security Representative (TSR) tasks. -Accomplish RVR operations as required. -Operate the facility and all equipment used in AFF.
-Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications - Experience with Radar Cross Section (RCS) measurement techniques, including ISAR Imaging and Near Field to Far Field Correction techniques. - Experience with measurement radars and processing software. - Experience with software techniques used to process and analyze radar measurement data.
Desired skills -Experience operating, trouble shooting, integrating and maintaining RF systems, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and radar. -Background in electromagnetic theory and application. -F-35 Low Observable (LO) experience and working knowledge of the Acceptance Test Facility. -F-35 Final Finishes and OML design or manufacturing/application methods -Experience and working knowledge of aircraft systems -Has a thorough understanding of electronics and is experienced in electronics troubleshooting techniques and tools, including oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, and other common lab equipment.
