Lockheed Martin Test Engineer in Fort Worth, Texas
F35 Manufacturing Test Engineer – The selected candidate will: Identify F35 test equipment needs; Create and maintain System Checkout Procedures for aircraft mechanical, electrical and avionics systems; Provide technical test support (education on test performance, trouble shooting, test equipment and post test data review) to the F35 build team during all phases of manufacturing, final assembly, system functional/acceptance test and flight line operations; Proactively pursue continuous improvement in quality, schedule and cost; Demonstrate effective inter-departmental communication skills, both written and verbal, as this position requires extensive interface with peers, customers, suppliers, management, and touch labor across varied disciplines in multiple countries on a daily basis.
Must be able to work weekends and other shifts when required.
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree from and accredited college in a related discipline, or 5 years equivalent experience/combined education - Experience reading and using engineering specifications, drawings and schematics. - Must possess hands–on aircraft testing experience
Desired skills - FAA Airframe and Power plant (A&P) License - 2+ years military aircraft maintenance / flight line experience - Familiarity / experience with the development and maintenance of aircraft functional test software - Experience with EPDM, engineering release and configuration change control - LM21 Green / Black belt or equivalent product & process improvement experience - Proposal Development - Test equipment design and acquisition
