Lockheed Martin Business Development & Strategy Analyst Senior Staff in Grand Prairie, Texas
The Business Development and Strategy Analyst Senior Staff is responsible to support the Integrated Air & Missile Defense Line of Business, Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC). Areas of responsibility include all U.S. Armed Forces Surface to Air Missile (SAM) threat simulator systems. Responsible to work side-by side with Program Management and engineering team members to translate customer needs (current and anticipated) into discriminating technical and business solutions for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control product lines. This role is responsible for assessing customer strategic capability gap requirements, advocating threat simulator solutions, maintaining a campaign plan and strategy, business opportunity identification and validation, capture plan development and execution, gathering and evaluation of competitive intelligence, developing and maintaining opportunity price-to-win, and customer, competitor and potential teammate interaction management.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or science discipline
Minimum 15 years’ experience in U.S. military, U.S. Government, or technology based industry.
Subject matter expert on U.S. Armed Forces threat simulator systems and training range operations. Specific focus on US Air Force and US Navy threat simulator systems.
Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, with all levels of management, engineers, Department of Defense officials and Functional employees.
Must have active Secret clearance and ability to obtain US Government Top Secret clearance.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to clearly articulate strategies at multiple levels of business and government
Desired skills Advanced degree in an engineering or science discipline
Superior knowledge of U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy air operations and air training systems and ranges.
Knowledgeable of U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy Program Objective Memorandum (POM) build, acquisition and procurement business processes and U.S. Armed Forces Service cultures.
Demonstrated outstanding leadership skills and proven success leading high-performing organizations
Superior understanding of the Department of Defense and U.S. Air Force budgeting and acquisition processes
Knowledgeable of linkage and coordination between Air Combat Command, USAF training ranges, Air Force Research Lab, and Hill Air Force Base.
Effective Team Player – Outstanding organizational ability and demonstrated excellence motivating a diverse set of individuals in pursuit of common objectives
Recent experience working with flight operations and training range requirements.
Possess experience and a current working knowledge of DoD Acquisition process and DoD Directive 5000.1, the Joint Capability Integration and Development System (JCIDS), and Army Air and Missile Defense Combat Developments process.
Possess experience with the U.S. Air Force acquisition and procurement business processes, and U.S. Armed Forces Service cultures to align strategic objectives and capture strategies.
