Lockheed Martin Database Administrator in Grand Prairie, Texas

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Database Administrator for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to schedule meetings and organize data associated with independent program reviews for the Engineering and Technology Organization.

Initially, program review dates will be entered into an existing online database. Once loaded, associated due dates will be entered to ensure the Programs are cognizant of all review dates. The Database Administrator will work with multiple disciplines to ensure that reviews are tracked, documented and all action items are closed. The intent of the database is to track the review requirements and automatically notify stakeholders of outstanding actions.

This is a development opportunity where the candidate will help to shape the input and output data to create custom reports that are more meaningful for management in making critical program decisions.

Basic Qualifications

Must have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance

Configuration management experience in a Department of Defense and / or Commercial

Experience with electronic data vaulting and digital data handling and in-depth understanding of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Y14 drafting, drawing and documentation standards

Strong technical background

Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships are a must

Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills, technical writing experience, and an ability to perform oral presentations in front of large groups

Must be able to work well in a team environment and work well with various levels of management

Strong attention to detail and must be able to work with minimal supervision

A basic understanding of Contracts

Candidate must be willing to work overtime and travel as needed to support program requirements

Desired skills

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding and experience of CMMI process method and 4-6 years of experience with CM of hardware / software

Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree and experience with Product Data Management tools is desired

Ability to quickly learn new software tools and processes a plus

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including MS Access
