Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking an electrical engineer for a Monolithic Attitude Control Motor Design for an Advanced Missile System.
This position includes the following responsibilities: Continued development of the existing Monolithic Attitude Control Motor(ACM) sub-assembly of the missile. Electrical design, testing, and coordination with the ACM vendor. Safety board reviews. Circuit design iterations including schematic capture and PCB layout revisions.
Relocation: Relocation assistance is possible for this exciting position. The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the “Mid-Cities” region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth. Basic Qualifications - Must be able to obtain a Secret level US Government Security Clearance - Solid understanding of analog and pulse discharge circuit design and simulation. - Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools. - Lab skills including test equipment operation, debug and verification testing. - Ability to work well in an interdisciplinary environment. - Clear, confident, concise, coherent oral and written communication skills. - Ability to travel to customer locations and field tests. - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or other similar background.
Desired skills - Knowledge of Flight Termination Systems, Fuzing or Ignition Safety Systems. - Experience with Air Force safety review board. - Experience interfacing and working with suppliers and subcontractors. - Leadership skills. - Familiar with typical business practices.
