Lockheed Martin Quality Assurance Engineering Manager in Grand Prairie, Texas
Lockheed Martin is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Professional Manager in support of Functional operations based in Grand Prairie, Texas. The Quality professional will be responsible for the strategic leadership and performance of several key areas of responsibility within the Quality Engineering discipline, including Quality Engineering business process management, data analytics, continuous improvement, and employee development, training and knowledge continuity. The candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert in the area of Quality Engineering and as an Adviser for the Quality team. This position requires that the candidate stay current with industry standards, solutions and leverage technology into MFC. Duties include:
Recruit and develop talent to strengthen the organization
Drive strategies resulting in contemporary and optimal business methods and practices for strengthening the Quality Management System and talent development
Develop and implement processes to optimize practices in driving out risks
Develop and implement an MFC Enterprise strategy which integrates cross functional teams in the execution of processes and needed technical solutions including Quality, Technical Operations, Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain, etc.
Develop Quality Management System requirements and governmental regulatory standards
Utilize quality methodologies and Missiles and Fire Control policies and procedures
Establish performance metrics and conducting data analysis to identify process improvements
Identifying solutions to complex problems with a focus on continual improvement practices using tools like Causal Analysis to drive Corrective Action and Preventive Action
Basic Qualifications Technical Engineering degree, or equivalent experience, in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Advanced understanding of Quality principles in Aerospace industry
Experience with control and disposition of non-conforming material
Experience solving complex problems associated with the quality of products and in Quality Management processes
Experience working with Government customers
Experienced as a team lead and facilitator
Ability to influence outcomes
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Exceptional presentation skills in developing messages, training and compelling strategies resulting in diverse teams implementing and executing new solutions
Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with Technical Operations, Manufacturing, and all other stakeholders
Must have the ability to travel
Desired skills Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and / or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
Advanced AS9100, AS9102 and TS 16949 Interpretation and application experience
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) technical experience
Experienced in Bid, Proposal and Estimating practices and development of Quality Assurance Basis of Estimates (BOE)
Earned Value Management System Cost Account Manager (EVMS CAM) certification
Familiar with requirements for handling and control of Government Furnished Equipment/Property during field, ground or operational tests
