Lockheed Martin Senior Systems Engineer - Aerodynamics in Grand Prairie, Texas
Experienced aerodynamicist sought to support missile development program. Duties include, but are not limited to: -Build 6DOF aerodynamic databases based on missile DATCOM, CFD, and wind tunnel testing to include jet interaction -Analyze safe separation characteristics with CFD analysis -Conduct aerodynamic characterization analysis across flight envelop for 6DOF simulation -Support autopilot design in 6DOF simulation -Support high speed wind tunnel planning and testing

Basic Qualifications Minimum BS degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent is required. Understanding of missile aerodynamics and flight performance. Experience in missile or rocket configuration design and aerodynamics analysis.
Previous coursework or experience with CFD. Understanding of Matlab, FORTRAN, and/or C++.
The successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Candidates should be comfortable giving presentations to program leadership and government customers.
Candidates must have the ability to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance.
Desired skills Experience with STAR-CCM+, FALCON or KESTREL CFD codes. Wind tunnel test experience. Aircraft store integration experience. Store separation and capture analysis experience.
