Lockheed Martin is seeking a Software Engineer for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to support the development of Energy Storage Systems. Development will include:

•Develop Java/JavaScript code to enhance the current energy storage site controller. •Design and develop a new fleet management system to aggregate data from various remote systems distributed across North America using cloud based infrastructure. •Triage issues for deployed systems as well as help isolate root causes of certain failures. •Peer review team code in a constructive manner to ensure it meets good programming practices and balance reusability, reliability, and performance. •Create a suite of regression tests to ensure each release incrementally improves the test coverage from the previous release. •Work with End Users to create deployed configurations and customized installations •Monitor and troubleshoot remote installations for health and status

The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the “Mid-Cities” region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college. Strong knowledge and experience with object oriented Java or C#. Must have a Green Card or be a U.S. Citizen.

Desired skills •Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus/TCP, serial (RS485), DNP3, CAN bus, and Digital/Analog inputs. •Experience interfacing with remote management tools such as RDP or SSH. •Experience with common software development tools such as Eclipse, Git, Maven, and Jira •Experience with MongoDB or other databases. •Knowledge of Utilities, Microgrids, Energy Storage Systems, and other power systems. •Knowledge of basic TCP/IP Networking and Cybersecurity. •Experience with data analytics or analysis of stored telemetry and historical data points •Experience administering Linux servers or other sysadmin experience. Experience with front-end web technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, AngularJS, Jquery, NPM, CSS, and SASS •Experience with Test Driven Development and Unit, Integration, and System level testing
