Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is looking for an experienced radar signal processing engineer to support development of advanced missile programs. This position will be responsible for development of sensor simulation models and integration of signal processing algorithms for closed-loop testing of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) in both digital simulation and hardware-in-the-loop simulation. Candidates must have previous experience in modeling and algorithm development/integration to support Radar sensors for closed-loop control applications. Experience with Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) digital modeling as well as experience with SAR image formation, target detection, and target recognition algorithms are highly desirable. Familiarity with C++ programming is also desired.

The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the “Mid-Cities” region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region is home to numerous colleges and universities to include University of Texas at Dallas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of North Texas, Southern Methodist University, and Texas Woman's University. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth.


Basic Qualifications Expertise with radar signal processing, radar modeling, and algorithm development.

This position requires an active Secret security clearance.

Desired skills Experience with C++ and Matlab programming. Experience with Synthetic Aperture Radar digital modeling, target detection, and automatic target recognition algorithms. In-scope security clearance (investigation within the last 5 years).
