Applications System Analyst for Air Operations Center Weapon System (AOC WS). AOC WS provides engineering services for the continued sustainment, technology refresh and modifications. Services consist of systems/program engineering, technical support and technical training for the integration, sustainment, modification, deployment/fielding and installation, operations and field support of theater level command and control, communication and radar surveillance capabilities and systems.
This program is Blue Sky and pending contract award.
Basic Qualifications Responsibilities include systems integration in multi system/subsystem environment, testing and debugging of COTS/GOTS/FOSS and developed software solutions. The Applications Systems Analyst job duties include:
*Formulates/defines system scope and objectives
*Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results
*Prepares detailed specifications for programs. Assists in the design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of new software and enhancements of existing applications
*Works with project managers, developers, and end users to ensure application designs meet business requirements
*Formulates/defines specifications for complex operating software programming applications or modifies/maintains complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer
*Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents those programs
*Provides overall operating system, such as sophisticated file maintenance routines, large telecommunications networks, computer accounting, and advanced mathematical/scientific software packages
*Assists all phases of software systems programming applications
*Evaluates new and existing software products
Desired skills **AOC Experience a plus
**Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to integrate and debug enterprise wide system capabilities/interfaces.
**Small scale script development to aid in integration automation a plus: languages (Perl, shell script, powershell, C/C++, Java, XML), Agile software development toolset (e.g.JIRA, FishEye, Confluence, GIT,)
**Solaris/Windows System Administration skills required, familiar with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Web Services, Web Logic app servers, work flow engines, and IBM Business Process Manager, as well as infrastructure services, virtual environments, bare metal builds, virtual hard disk (vhd)/flash archives, and backup/restore methodologies
**Ability to quickly adapt to new system environments and interface with product development teams
**Candidate must be able to work on a broad range of problems and technology as part of a multi-disciplinary team
