Lockheed Martin Project Engineering Manager in Hill Afb, Utah

As part of Lockheed Martin’s Minuteman III Sustainment team, this position will provide onsite leadership for the Air Force Strategic Program ICBM MMIII Sustainment mission area. Assist in customer business relationship development activities for current initiatives related to MMIII Weapons System Sustainment activities. Must be able to engage with Air Force Strategic Programs leadership. Manage all technical, cost, and schedule aspects of Sustainment program onsite including: prepare and maintain master schedules; manage program cost within allocated budgets; plan, direct, and manage all technical and programmatic activities, integrate all program required functional areas of discipline in an effort to achieve 100% Mission Success and Operational Excellence. Must be able to prepare all contractually required reports for submittal, including monthly technical and cost reports; provide interface with customers, providing status, answering questions, resolving issues and supporting trade studies; interface with functional management to assure proper staffing. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/discipl. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas effort will include the organization of program information into a comprehensive and insightful manner.

Basic Qualifications Demonstrated full spectrum leadership behaviors or equivalent. Proven experience with managing proposal and program activities. Reentry system, reentry vehicle, and/or Aerospace Vehicle Equipment hardware experience. Strong leadership skills and management experience with ability to interact effectively with diverse program teams. Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure. Motivated self starter who works effectively under tight deadlines. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Actively engages in ethics and diversity communications and execution. Ensures compliance with command media and dissemination of lessons learned for mission success. Embrace and plan for an organization that learns from mistakes and lessons learned. This position requires an active DoD Secret Clearance which requires US Citizenship

Desired skills Prior experience with Air Force Strategic Programs (ICMB) customers (AFGSC, AFNWS, AFSPO, NG, USSTRATCOM, Sandia National Laboratories). DoD and AF budget and requirements development and acquisition process required. Typical Minimums Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
