Lockheed Martin Master Program Planner Senior Staff in Hill Air Force Base, Utah
**This role is the Lead Program Planner for the GBSD program and is contingent upon contract award expected in September, 2017. . This role is the Lead Program Planner for the GBSD program. Individual partners with Program Management and directs all phases of program planning from inception through completion. Architects, develops and maintains the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Program Summary Master Schedule (PSMS) to meet all program strategic objectives. Responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of planning and schedule management in support of program execution. Interfaces with program management, senior management and the contractual customer as the programs planning integrator. Works with the technical community, operational community and program management to translate authorized customer requirements into the performance measurement baseline. Develops a compliant IMS which accurately and comprehensively validates the contractual scope, flow and resources required to execute the program. Validates cost and schedule integration for effective program performance management. Manages vertical and horizontal integration between all schedules and other program artifacts compliant with LM's command media and PPMD requirements. May provide leadership or direction to other program planners. Devises modeling and measuring techniques to integrate risks and opportunities with schedule and cost baseline. Performs time-phased predictive analyses, critical path verification and schedule risk assessments to assure the capability of the program to meet their commitments. Resolves schedule conflicts, develops and implements work-around strategies and tactical alternatives. Utilizes performance and health metrics analyses to drive actions resulting in improved program performance. Leads internal and external audits and reviews of program planning area. Individual must be a self-starter and have highly-developed verbal and written communication skills. Individual must have a proven track record of presenting schedule information to program management and customers; be able to develop written reports including explaining variances related to cost and schedule; have a proven ability to work with engineers and CAMs to assist them in understanding and interpreting schedule, critical path, and earned value data.
Basic Qualifications Proven Program Planning leadership on large scale complex projects involving multiple groups and/or businesses Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships Working knowledge of scheduling tools including resource loading Proven Earned Value Management experience Exemplary communication and problem solving skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective internal relationships Product life cycle knowledge (including new designs), and lead time work around planning Ability to perform Critical Path Analysis, Margin Management, Float Management, Schedule Risk Assessments (Monte Carlo simulations) and Schedule Integrity checks Extensive experience with internal and external audits and reviews
Desired skills Prefer Microsoft Project 2010 or 2013 Knowledge and experience working in MS Project Server environment Experience working on previous development programs Familiarity with SSC Operations and SMD LOB Knowledge of SSC PPMD requirements document
