Lockheed Martin Senior Software Engineer for Space Systems Hardware in Hill Air Force Base, Utah

Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company supports the Air Force’s Future ICBM Sustainment and Acquisition Construct Reentry Systems/Reentry Vehicles contract. We have been the principal designer, manufacturer and sustainer of Minuteman III reentry systems since the 1960s and have partnered with the Air Force on the land-based leg of the strategic triad since the beginning as the developer of Atlas, Titan, Peacekeeper and Small ICBMs.

Works primarily with the IPT lead for specific technical and programmatic issues related to the IPT. Daily interaction with LM team members and equivalent Air Force customers on IPT activities, ensuring the tasks are completed in expeditious and thorough manner. Must be able to interface with technical teams and support/prioritize tasks and provide information to the proper resource. Ability to respresent LM in support of customer meetings. Ability to provide engineering and technical assisstance to AF technicians in test, troubleshooting and repair of IPT specific topics involving software. Support the Government's efforts to address key software focus areas by providing assistance with field and depot software-related problem root cause, creating solution options, and making recommendations. Perform subsystems engineering, integration of software programs and software development activities, which includes analyzing requirements, designing software, developing software code, integrating software components, testing software, and deploying software. Sustain software throughout its life cycle; maintaining software oversight; ensure test plans and procedures adequately address the changes made to accommodate the identified requirements; Ensure software release for operational testing is substantiated by test results. Implement Software Code Changes and Perform Test at the Field Site.

Basic Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication; extensive experience with software development activities, including implementing and testing software code changes; experience preparing test plans and test procedures for use at field sites; experience with S/W configuration management tools; programming experience with ATLAS, FORTRAN, and C languages

Desired skills Programming experience with DITMCO, Teradyne, and/or HP 1000; experience with heritage AF ICBM Reentry System/ Reentry Vehicle hardware and software products
