Lockheed Martin Sr. QA Engineer in Jupiter, Florida
The primary focus of this position is to provide quality engineering support for the FAFO product lines. Role will also provide technical support and direction on projects within the FAFO Quality Clinic.
The individual for this position will perform quality engineering activities for the FAFO product lines and will be involved in process improvement, root cause investigations, corrective actions management and implementation and the corrective action board (CCAB) process.
This individual will work directly with shop floor inspectors, manufacturing engineering, operations management and others to accomplish the required tasks in support of the FAFO business. Data analysis, creation and revision of standard work and providing performance metrics required. Additionally leadership support of DRT activities and escape investigations will be required.
The use of tools such as fishbone diagrams, 5why’s, and PFMEA will be required to drive improvements and implement robust root cause analysis and subsequent corrective actions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Support the daily Discrepancy Review Team meetings and determine appropriate Root Cause and Corrective Action for discrepancies. • Support Line Managers in the reduction in Cost of Poor Business Quality and Scrap, Repair and Rework to ensure continuous improvement. • Reporting of key Quality metrics and top drivers for a military or commercial model line • Manage non-conforming material through the Quality Clinic and Return to Vendor process • Responsible for quality initiatives i.e. Continuous Improvement initiatives and ensuring that standard work requirement are met
Basic Qualifications Engineering or Quality experience. Strong Knowledge of Microsoft excel advanced data analysis techniques. Knowledge of Hyperion data collection techniques is a plus.
Desired skills Working knowledge of AS9100 and AS 9102. Experience in using Sikorsky quality data systems to create Discrepancy Reports and RRO's. Working knowledge of the B/H airframe assembly and inspection techniques. Ability to interface with the engineering Matrix system to review EBOM and MBOM and aircraft affectivity of drawing changes. Working knowledge of MOI tooling used to build composite and sheet metal assemblies.
