Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer Senior in King Of Prussia, Pennsylvania
This position provides systems engineering support in the areas of requirements management and architecture development for Air Force strategic weapons systems, both flight avionics electronics and ground support equipment, as part of SMD's (Strategic Missile and Defense Systems) Air Force Strategic Programs portfolio. The selected candidate will be responsible for the successful development and maintenance of the system level requirements, and external and internal Interface Control Documents (ICDs), assessment of existing external interface specifications for impacts, coordination with both internal and external stakeholders on the interfaces, analysis of interface parameters results, and management of ICD requirements in the requirements management database/system model and trace of requirements. A successful candidate will have experience with and also manage the project requirements database in DOORs. The selected candidate will as be responsible for supporting architecture development tasking, to include leading and documenting trade study and design efforts.
This position is based on a contract being awarded in Fall of 2017.
Basic Qualifications - Knowledge and experience with Requirements and/or Verification development and management, including requirements decomposition and flow down. - Demonstrated experience with Requirements database tools (DOORS, etc.). - Demonstrated interpersonal skills and teamwork with internal customers. - Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills - Experience with system engineering complex systems and/or related ground support equipment. - Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills - Proficiency with standard documentation and presentation tools. - This position requires the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance which requires US Citizenship.
Desired skills - Experience with US Air Force Weapon Systems Programs. - Experience with US Strategic Systems. - Broad experience of the Systems Engineering life Cycle process and tools, including CONOPS development. - Strong interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project). - Demonstrated ability as a team player to build consensus among peers and build effective relationships with team members. - Effectively manage change. - Experience supporting technical proposal efforts, including the creation of technical and cost estimates (Basis of Estimates - BOE). - Understanding of SysML and MBSE.
