Lockheed Martin Missile Electronic Technician in Kings Bay, Georgia
Troubleshoot and maintain complex electronic equipment utilized to test Trident II Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) flight electronics package in the Missile Integrated Support Facility (MISF). Under direction of senior personnel, prepare new and fleet return flight electronics packages for troubleshooting, operational checkout, and final acceptance tests on various package level and subsystem level electronic test consoles. Perform high voltage and boundary scan testing of electronics packages prior to final closure. Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting radiographic equipment utilized during the evaluation of suspect hardware components. Assist in performing adjustments, synchronizations, modifications, repairs and user calibrations on FBM package test consoles (PTCs). Perform preventative maintenance operations. Operate and maintain complex environmental screening equipment such as sine/vibe shakers, thermal chambers, and altitude chambers. Stamp or otherwise approve acceptable parts, tests and processing paperwork, as required. Evaluate test data, assembly process, and refurbishment procedures and recommended new methods to improve quality assurance and reduce costs. Perform continuous monitoring of all production and process areas. Make specialized test apparatus as required. Use any tools or equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks. May perform functions described in lateral or lower rated job classifications.
Basic Qualifications - AA degree or equivalent electronics experience required - Applicant must have recent troubleshooting experience in advanced integrated electronics - Ability to obtain/maintain a secret clearance - Ability to work various shifts, weekends and travel on demand - Willingness to support overtime on demand - Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills - Must have broad knowledge of Test and Measurement Equipment utilized in the aerospace industry - Proven ability to work in a team environment - Must be able to routinely lift and carry 45 lbs, access test stands and reach equipment inside of environmental chambers - Ability to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd Shift
Desired skills Proven self-starter with strong situational awareness, ability to thrive in a changing environment. Previous experience operating high voltage testers, environmental test equipment, general purpose test and measurement equipment. Experience operating automated test consoles. Demonstrated experience following process disciplines. Troubleshooting to component level on advanced integrated electronics circuit boards. Experience in C++, Labview, and Linux. Experience with Microsoft Office products and SAP Software. Applicants with previous experience working on DIT-MCO high voltage testers, shaker systems, or Teradyne preferred.
