Lockheed Martin Software Engineer in Kings Bay, Georgia

Lockheed Martin Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) Finance and Business Operations (FBO) organization is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to craft and document processes that will meet DOD Cyber-security requirements. The processes to be documented include: Application Control Board, Software Development Peer Review Process, Software Corrective Maintenance Process and the Software Configuration Management Process. The candidate will also be responsible for generating and maintaining assessment and remediation plans for addressing findings generated from the application of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Application Guides (STIGs) to the) hosted application(s). Once these processes have been documented and put in place, the candidate will manage and maintain the processes, while continuing to work as a systems analyst for the Encrypted Planning Network System (EPNS) Application working with Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program Plans & Requirements team members to develop new software applications in support of customer business analysis using JAVA. Must learn certain aspects of user planning functions in order to aid in program definition. Job is located onboard the Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base in Kings Bay, GA, next to St Mary's GA, close to Amelia Island, FL. and just 30 miles north of Jacksonville, FL. This job is performed in a closed area location in the Engineering Services Building.

Basic Qualifications *Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent related experience/combined education. *Motivated self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills *Ability to plan, execute and manage a project *Broad technical background in Information Technology and Information Systems *2 years of JAVA programming experience in creating user applications. *Experience with Software Analysis and Design *Experience with the software development and testing processes *Demonstrated ability to train, self-study and maintaining proficiency in the cyber-security domain. *Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance, with Interim DOD Secret Clearance at start. *Occasional travel may be required.

Desired skills * A working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) security controls process and how it applies to desktop applications *Experience with application security and development DISA STIGs or National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-53 assessments *Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle *Experience wit JIRA, Subversion and Confluence applications *Current secret clearance is desirable. *Experience working as an analyst along with others to define applications
