Lockheed Martin IT Systems Administrator in Kirtland Afb, New Mexico

The candidate selected will be responsible for the following: •• System Administrators will manage the resources of an entire computer system. • The Systems Administrator will work closely with members of the contractor team, the customer, as well as associate contractors, in performance of their duties. • Configure the operating system software in accordance to project/operational requirements. (e.g., assigning user profiles, log-ins, passwords, defining printer or modem access, hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage and setting up user restrictions). • Responsible for effective installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems and related infrastructure, ensuring that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational guidelines. • Develops and maintains installation/configuration procedures. • Develops plans for short-term and long-term loss of system hardware and software. • Performs routine system maintenance such as backing up or archiving files and adding software updates. • Works closely with configuration management, software and hardware maintenance personnel in a fast paced environment. • Works with the network security manager/information assurance personnel to set up network security policies and procedures. • Applicant will monitor system security and issue passwords at periodic intervals • Will assist in the creation of user documentation to include; user manuals that include sign-on and sign-off procedures, use of basic commands, software policies, user responsibilities, etc. • Applicant will researches/recommends automated approaches for system administration tasks. • Applicant will perform daily system monitoring; verify availability of all system/server resources, reviewing/archiving system and application logs. • Rotating on-call/response support required • Support and Perform Information System Security Engineering (ISSE) tasks as assigned.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field. Experience with or working knowledge with Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and/or System Administration. This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US citizen.

Desired skills Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the DOD Information Assurance Certification & Accreditation Process (DIACAP) methods. Effective analytical and critical thinking skills proven problem solving and follow through in high-pressure situations. Proven ability to prioritize and work multiple efforts simultaneously. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to research and analyze problems based on limited or ambiguous data. Ability to work independently and with a team. Pursuit or completion of DoD 8570 related certifications. * Security + will be required prior to establishing a start date on program.
