Lockheed Martin QA Engineer Sr - GD&T - CMM and PC-DMIS Programming in Lexington, Kentucky
This position is for a Quality Engineer (QE) supporting the machining, fabrication and assembly of mechanical parts on a production floor. Provides QE support for the inspection processes and procedures for verifying mechanical hardware. Hardware includes machined parts, sheet metal parts, formed metal parts and mechanical assemblies.
Basic Qualifications Strong knowledge in GD&T. Experience required with CMM programming and PC-DMIS programming Demonstrated basic understanding of audit techniques Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision Ability to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts that will enable development and review of QE Processes Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex Effective interpersonal skills, including Team building and Collaboration
Desired skills Experience in Mechanical Production floor level Quality Assurance automated inspection processes (CMM, Laser scanning, ROMER, FARO) and procedures supporting mechanical fabrication, machining and assembly Demonstrated problem solving skills, including Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Planning Effective Communication Skills: Written, Oral, Listening, Presentation, Technical Writing Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
