Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer Senior Staff - EVM - IMS - Special Operations - Army Aviation in Lexington, Kentucky

Oversees Engineering & Technology portion of task order execution on Army Aviation Products. In this role, the engineer will analyze customer requirements to determine total scope, basis of estimate, an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), resource requirements, and formulates the overall engineering solution. The span of control will include evaluation and approval of engineering releases and changes; control account management using Earned Value Management (EVM) principles; general supervision of electrical and mechanical design engineers; managing development of design reports and reviews and leading the team during design review briefs; and overall work prioritization to meet task order deliverables and commitments in accordance with the IMS. Daily internal and external customer communication is required.

Basic Qualifications The candidate must have previous Army Aviation and/or Air Force design and integration experience on Special Operations aviation platforms, and have performed in the capacity of a lead engineer. The candidate must be very familiar with the family of Black Hawk aircraft. Experience integrating Aircraft Survivability Equipment, Communications systems, Navigation equipment, Weapons, and Avionics on SOF platforms is required. Experience with Earned Value Management, staffing planning, and overall budget management is required. A strong mechanical and structural background is essential, and the candidate must also be proficient with electrical engineering integration methods. The candidate must be an excellent written and verbal communicator.

Desired skills Direct experience working with the Technology Applications Program Office is preferred. Previous supervisory/management experience is preferred. The candidate should be familiar with Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office Suite.
