The ASIC/FPGA Design Engineer will be working in the RF Center of Excellence (RF CoE). The FPGA/ASIC designer will provide technical support to the RF COE ASIC/FPGA design Team The individual will leverage their familiarity in ASIC and FPGA development, digital signal processing and communication theory in addition to perform the following tasks. • Participate as a member of a small technical team of ASIC/FPGA designers to achieve project goals. • Assist in the development of RTL utilizing a hardware description language (e.g. VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog) and debug the design via simulation tools. • Assist in the synthesis and place and route (FPGA) or support foundry backend development activities (ASIC). • Execute verification plans and approaches to support development. • Support technical reviews.

Basic Qualifications The individual must have familiarity with ASIC and FPGA development, digital signal processing and communication theory. • Familiarity in the definition, design, debug and test of FPGA devices • Familiarity implementing and testing DSP/Algorithms • Ability to support the development of RTL utilizing a hardware description language (e.g. VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog) and debug the design via simulation tools. • Familiarity with the synthesis and place and route (FPGA and ASIC) • Familiarity with the support of execution of verification plans and approaches to support development. • Ability to work with the Microsoft Office suite of documentation • Ability to obtain a security clearance
Desired skills • Experience in the design, debug and test of FPGA devices used in high reliability applications. • Experienced in developing FPGAs/ASICs • HDL programming experience with VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog for synthesis. • Understanding of IP cores. • Experience developing with Xilinx Virtex 5QV (SIRF), Microsemi antifuse • Active TS/SCI Clearance
