Lockheed Martin Bus Devel Analysis Dir in Littleton, Colorado

The Military Space (MILSPACE) Strategic Planning and Business Development (S&BD) Director reports to the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development and is deployed to the Vice President and General manager of MILSPACE Line of Business (LOB). This position is responsible for:

1) Leading the development of the MILSPACE LOB long range strategic plan including the identification of A and B orders; 2) Oversight of new MILSPACE business pursuits and innovative technical and business model offerings to win new business at least equal to A orders; 3) Managing and synchronizing MILSPACE LOB IRAD driven technology development; 4) Providing overall strategic guidance for the MILSPACE LOB product line as well as for business expansion into adjacent markets; 5) Evaluating and recommending merger and acquisition activities as well as emerging technology fund investments; 6) Building partnerships and teams across the corporation and with other companies to achieve MILSPACE and the Space Systems Company business development objectives; 7) Managing and directing the business development team for MILSPACE. The MILSPACE S&BD Director negotiates MILSPACE bid and proposal, independent research and development, and market analysis/overhead budgets with the LMSSC BD central organization. 8) The MILSPACE S&BD Director also works closely with Washington Operations to ensure MILSPACE programs are effectively communicated to Congress and senior members of the Department of Defense. 9) This position is responsible for managing Overhead and New Business budget forecasting and management. 10) Manage and collaborate to work enterprise initiatives.

Basic Qualifications 1. 10+ years of experience in strategy development and business development/capture management, including major program experience. 2. Must be able to demonstrate strong presentation skills, good oral and written communications skills, with proven ability to interface effectively with corporate executive management. 3. Must have 10+ years of demonstrated skills in all phases of capture process, from effective customer & partner relationship building, to working with customers & partners to shape requirements, developing new business strategies & execution plans, formulating value propositions and value delivery systems, writing winning proposals, through keeping programs sold and growing the business. 4. Must have working knowledge of DoD or other significant customer acquisition process. Must have 5+ year’s knowledge of DoD or other complex systems, requirements, practices, and acquisition process including proposal evaluation. 5. Must have experience managing a budget of $25M+/year. Must have hold or be able to hold a TS/SCI clearance. Full Spectrum Leadership competencies. 6. Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.

Strong SSC capture experience on small through large programs and across multiple customer communities 6. Build effective relationship internal to SSC across Central BD, Engineering, PP&Q, Supply Chain and with LOB Mission Area Leads 7. Track record of delivering to technical, schedule and financial commitments and driving best customer and enterprise value 8. Ability to align organization and workforce to focus on critical tasks of strategic and new business impact 9. Ability to direct market analysis efforts and the development of strong, compelling business cases for market entry that maximizes ROI & manages risk. 10. Broad understanding of technologies and their potential impact to future competitive position(s). 11. DOD TS/SCI with BI, SSBI, CI
