Lockheed Martin Business Development Lead (Principle) in Littleton, Colorado
Manage and execute business development activities for the Military Space line of business for Space Systems Company (SSC), focusing on OPIR systems. Responsibilities include keep-sold activities, new business development, program capture, proposal generation, strategy development, and customer relations. Provide recommendations and direction to research and development activities. Periodic travel required.
As the senior SBIRS/OPIR business development lead the employee will be required to interface with SBIRS senior executives, senior managers and program personnel in gathering and compiling program data in support of OPIR campaigns and other OPIR business area pursuits. The primary tasks will be to coordinate strategy, develop and maintain campaign plans, integrate the AP and BD teams in responses to opportunities, and coordinate the overall strategy and external communications with other LM entities that interface with the OPIR mission area. This individual will develop and maintain customer contacts and support LMGA messaging to Congress, DoD stakeholders and military users across a diverse community including SMC, AFSPC, OSD, NASIC, NGA, STRATCOM and others.
Duties include development and oversight of analysis of cost and schedule data for program performance, evaluation of cost reduction and program streamlining initiatives, development of program external communications regarding program performance and future capabilities. The individual will provide input and support in requirements definition and approaches, preparation of proposals and responses to white paper requests, RFI’s and RFPs supporting new business initiatives. The individual will be required to interface with Corporate Business Development, LM Gov’t Affairs, SSC business development organization and SSC central organizations for finance, protocol and engineering in supporting the EPP and capture process gates.
Basic Qualifications 1) Ability to develop and execute strategy plans, campaign plans, capture plans, value propositions, and proposal plans 2) Existing relationships with National Security Space(NSS) or OPIR or ISR or integrated air and missile defense customers/partners to enhance access to new business opportunities 3) Ability to contribute to the forecast of NSS and OPIR markets and the strategies of our competitors 4) Experience in working with the military, particularly the US Air Force and Intelligence Community (IC) 5) Active Top Secret Clearance 6) Leadership experience 7) Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Desired skills Program management and program capture experience. Experience in budget and financial processes as a CAM, IRaD planning and development activities. SCI access will be needed. Experience in architecting and designing satellite systems. Ability to coordinate with price-to-win, competitive intelligence, and capture review team activities. Ability to lead and advocate for business development activities within the larger enterprise. Ability to coordinate with engineering and advanced programs personnel Ability to represent LM interests in a manner that enhances our customer relations
