Lockheed Martin Coatings and Paint Technician in Littleton, Colorado
Performs a variety of duties in the chemical processing, part marking and bagging areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.. Operates equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. Working from engineering drawings, written work instructions and process specifications, employee will perform chemical processes on part details. Tasks will include but are not limited to masking, anodizing, chem film, passivation, etching and other part finishing procedures. Employee will maintain chemical tanks, making additions of chemicals as required to keep them within specifications. Employee will perform painting/priming processes on flight hardware. Employee will maintain a clean and organized work area at all times. Other duties include cleaning parts, marking/identifying parts with inks, stencils or labels and bagging/tagging parts for delivery to customers.
Basic Qualifications -Basic knowledge of chemical treatments/coatings of metallic materials. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook. -Strong Math skills including, addition, subtraction, fractions, and area of shapes math concepts -Able to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings -Willingness to learn new skills and dedication to excellence.
Desired skills -Knowledge of chemical processes and coating of metallic details. -Able to perform detail oriented tasks -Experience with SAP. -Experience with reading blueprints and following established procedures. -Experience with chemical safety awareness when working with Hazardous Chemicals. -Self starter with time management skills to productively manage multiple parts simultaneously.
