Lockheed Martin Mechanical Engineer Sr in Littleton, Colorado

This position is located in Denver Colorado and supports the Air Force Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Technical Maturation and Risk Reduction (TMRR) Program. This Mechanical Engr. Sr. position supports the Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Post Boost Propulsion Lead in establishing Post Boost Propulsion System (PBPS) requirements & generate element, subsystem specs - Provide verification and validation tracking for the subsystem specification - Prepare SRR artifacts pertaining to PBPS & support SRR - Assess system PDR-level design and analyses, such as PBPS reliability, availability, maintainability, survivability, nuclear hardness, EMI/EMC, hazard analyses, system safety, age sensitivity analyses, etc. - Support PBPS TMRR trade studies, assess results and generate trade study CDRL report: - Liquid bi-propellant vs solid propellant vs alternate propellants - Thruster location/sizing, gimbaled axial vs fixed distributed - Perform PBPS error analyses and inputs to the quarterly WS error model notebook and semiannual WS Error - Model/Error Estimate/Capability Estimate - Prepare & support CCTIM, SFR, SSR, 9QTIM, PDR and 6 other TIMS - Support definition of WS internal and external interfaces - Provide inputs to model based Systems Engineering artifacts This position will start in September of 2017, and is contingent upon the GBSD TMRR award in September of 2017.
